This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy” or “Policy”) describes Krishi Seva (the “Firm” or “Company”) policies on collection, use, and disclosure of information about you in connection with your use of the mobile application Krishi Seva (hereinafter “App” or “Application”) owned and controlled by the Company.
The terms “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to Krishi Seva or the Company, used interchangeably. The Company is an intermediary service platform providing targeted services to facilitate farmers, agricultural experts, service providers, and buyers to connect and transact.
In order to provide these services, we ask for certain personal information which may be displayed on the App. When you use the services available through our App, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of information about yourself as described in this Privacy Policy.
Through the Krishi Seva Application, the Company provides and acts as an intermediary marketplace facilitating farmers, agricultural service providers, agri-input suppliers, and customers to connect and transact. It is a platform that allows domestic consumers to engage with third-party service providers who have been granted access to the App.
The Company does not provide any agricultural services or products directly to users other than providing the platform to enable such transactions at the users’ own cost and risk, and other services as may be specifically notified in writing. The Company is not and cannot be a party to any transaction between a farmer, supplier, or customer, nor does it have any control, involvement, or influence over the services received by you from such third-party providers.
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised Privacy Policy on this page. Such changes will be effective upon posting. By using the App, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is effective from May 01, 2018, and continues until revoked or amended by the Company.
1.1 Your privacy is important to you and to us. We’ll protect the information you share with us. To protect your privacy, the App follows principles in accordance with worldwide practices for customer privacy and data protection.
1.2 We at Krishi Seva are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) you share with us.
For the purposes of this Policy, Personal Information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, address, and email address or other contact information, whether at work or home.
In general, you can visit the App’s pages without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself. If however, Personal Information is revealed to us, we won’t sell or give away any content of your Personal Information to anyone except people who may be involved in the delivery of our services.
2.1 When you visit the App or use our Services, we collect and store information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your activities. This may include, but is not limited to:
Your device’s IP address, browser type, and operating system.
Your mobile device’s unique ID number and geographic location (if enabled).
Your name, email address, mobile number, and other information you may provide such as gender, birth date, and address.
How long you use our services and which features you access.
Information submitted while creating or updating your profile, such as agricultural interests, farm details, or service requirements.
We collect this information primarily to ensure that we are able to fulfill your requests, improve service quality, and deliver a personalized experience.
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you register on the App, use connected services, or join a limited-access feature of Krishi Seva.
The information collected from users or visitors is shared with members and stakeholders of Krishi Seva, namely: customers, service providers, agricultural experts, employees, and partners who are part of the Krishi Seva community.
Any information you give us is held with the utmost care and security. We will also cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are required by law or legal process to provide information about a user.
5.1 We will provide you with the means to ensure that your Personal Information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time in your account settings.
5.2 Service providers must upload on the App documents relating to their identity, business or service details, certifications, and other credentials which should be visible to customers. Service providers agree that these documents may be available for customers to view or download for their reference.
6.1 Krishi Seva has taken strong measures to protect the security of your Personal Information and to ensure that your choices for its intended use are honored. We take precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
6.2 However, we do not guarantee that all electronic transactions are completely secure. Users must ensure that they agree to the terms and conditions of any third-party payment gateways used within the App. Krishi Seva shall not be liable for any discrepancies or misuse of sensitive payment information.
We encourage parents to guide their children regarding the safe and responsible use of personal information. The App does not contain harmful or adult content. However, Krishi Seva shall not be liable if a minor provides personal information without parental consent.
When you join Krishi Seva, you provide us with contact information including your name, telephone number, and email address. We use this information to help connect you with the right audience—such as farmers, service providers, or buyers—based on your needs.
We may disclose your Personal Information without notice if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect and defend the rights of the Company, or ensure the safety of our users or the public.
10.1 Krishi Seva does not rent or sell Personal Information about you to anyone, except to provide services you’ve requested, and under the following circumstances:
We provide the information to trusted partners, affiliates, and service providers who work with us under confidentiality agreements to help improve user experience.
We respond to court orders, legal processes, or requests from authorities when required by law.
We believe it is necessary to share information to investigate or prevent fraud, illegal activities, or threats to safety.
If Krishi Seva is acquired by another company, we will notify users before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
11.1 We limit access to Personal Information about you to employees and stakeholders who reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services.
11.2 We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable laws in India to protect your personal information. However, no method of online transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
By using the Krishi Seva App, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to Krishi Seva’s processing of Personal Information for the purposes stated herein.
